Farmers' Market
The First Town Downtown Farmers’ Market is in its 7th season! This well-attended local marketplace in Windsor center includes locally grown fruits, vegetables, baked goods, herbs, eggs, cheese, meat and more.

The season will once again host the Town’s annual Senior Tomato Growing Contest. New this year: Live music during July and August and Recipe of the week that coincides with veggies in season for all the culinary enthusiasts out there.

The Farmers’ Market runs until October 22 from 3:30-6:30 and is located at 240 Broad Street in the center of Windsor. First Town Downtown, an organization dedicated to promoting Windsor Center as a premier New England town center well positioned for recreational, economic and cultural activities, is once again the proud sponsor of the Market. This year's market vendors are:

Autumn Oak Farms of Tolland will bring a variety of fresh produce, eggs, soaps, salsa, pickles and relishes.

Beldotti Bakery, located in Stamford, CT specializes in fresh baked bread, homemade pesto and fresh mozzarella cheese.

Blessed Creek of Suffield will be bringing homemade herbal soaps and all natural cleaners.

Broad Brook Beef of Broad Brook is an all-natural, pasture-raised, dry-aged beef that's 100% grown and harvested right here in the Connecticut River Valley .

Fanciful Flowers of Windsor Locks will be bringing fresh cut flowers.

Farms of Southern New England, located on Palisado Avenue in Windsor will be bringing seasonal produce.

Northwest Park
Northwest Park is a lively 473-acre multi-activity recreational park right here in our hometown. NWP Nature Center is an information hub and home to many live animals and exhibits. Outside you may see bluebirds, deer, turtles and turkeys. Ten miles of trails can be used for hiking and biking and don’t forget to visit the animal barn and playground.

At the Tobacco Cultural Museum you will enjoy photographs, exhibits and an impressive walk-through artifact museum to get a glimpse of the culture and history of the tobacco industry in the Connecticut Valley.

The Vintage Radio and Communications Museum of Connecticut is dedicated to preserving the history of electronic communications from telegraph to telephone, radio to television and more.

The Windsor Art Center is a place for the visual and performing arts located in Windsor, Connecticut. The Center began in 2007 when a group of local citizens who were interested in securing a greater presence for the arts in the town came together to plan and present the works of local artists.

Cool off and connect with the past at Windsor Historical Society this summer! Bridging Centuries, Bridging Cultures: 400 Years of Windsor Stories exhibit is on view as well as two beautiful 18th century homes. Visit our research library filled with fascinating old photographs and documents. Families especially will enjoy the Hands-On-History Learning Center where they can try on colonial costumes, "cook" a meal on the open hearth, "milk" the cow, and attend a one room school.
