Windsor was one of four towns selected out of 46 to be selected as an official Tourist Information Center for the state's Central Regional Tourism District, also known as the Heritage River Valley.

Staff from the newly formed Central Regional Tourism District traveled to the four visitor centers in Windsor, Hartford, Middletown and Farmington to meet hospitality industry constituents and introduce the new guide and website

The four visitor centers are:

* Greater Hartford Welcome Center
45 Pratt Street, Hartford
* Connecticut’s Heritage River Valley Welcome Center, 393 Main Street, Middletown
* Windsor Chamber of Commerce & Tourism Information Center, 261 Broad Street, Windsor
* Farmington Valley Visitors Association
