Attorney David Baram joins the law firm of O’Malley, Deneen, Leary, Messina and Oswecki
Attorney David Baram announced that he will be continuing his law practice, joining the law firm of O’Malley, Deneen, Leary, Messina and Oswecki of Windsor. Attorney Baram will maintain a Bloomfield law office at One Regency Drive (Suite 310), and a second office at 20 Maple Avenue, Windsor. Attorney Baram will continue his practice in the areas of residential and commercial real estate, wills and probate, zoning, commercial transactions, employment, personal injury, litigation and divorce law. His two paralegals Carrie and Margaret will be joining Attorney Baram at the new law firm. In joining the firm of O’Malley, Deneen, Leary, Messina and Oswecki, Attorney Baram is looking forward to his new relationship with a prestigious law firm that has a similar history and reputation in Windsor, that Baram, Tapper & Gans had in Bloomfield. “Bringing these two law firms together and serving residents of both Windsor and Bloomfield, is an exciting opportunity that I look forward to with great enthusiasm” said Baram. “Practicing law in both Windsor and Bloomfield reminds me of my memorable service as State Representative to both communities. It feels natural and I have a strong sense of commitment to both Bloomfield and Windsor” said Attorney Baram. According to Attorney Baram who managed the Bloomfield law firm of Baram, Tapper & Gans for over 10 years, its closing is emotional. “Joe Tapper and Jason Gans are outstanding immigration lawyers, distinguished as “Super Lawyers” by their peers. They are highly regarded throughout Connecticut as the ‘go to’ immigration specialists,” said Baram. “After over 50 years of distinguished practice, Joe and Jay deserve to spend more time with their families and to enjoy other interests. I will miss practicing law with them” added Baram. Attorney Baram noted that the law firm of Baram,Tapper & Gans LLC, was the result of several mergers. In 1988 the law firm of Clayman, Markowitz and Litman merged with Tapper, Farrelly & Gans, a general practice with a significant immigration law emphasis. In 1992 the law firm of Clayman, Markowitz & Tapper merged with Pinney & Baram, to become Clayman, Markowitz, Pinney & Baram LLC. Pinney & Baram was the successor law firm to Wagner, Beck & Pinney, a highly regarded Bloomfield law office began by Jerry Wagner, who later became a Superior Court Judge. The firm later changed its name to Baram, Tapper and Gans LLC. Attorney Baram currently serves as the Probate Judge for the Tobacco Valley Probate District (Bloomfield, Windsor Locks, East Granby and Suffield). He previously served as Mayor of Bloomfield, State Representative for Bloomfield and Windsor, Chairperson of the Bloomfield Center Fire District Board of Commissioners, and Chair of the Bloomfield Democratic Town Committee. He is a former Chairperson of the Capitol Region Council of Governments (CRCOG), former president of the Bloomfield Chamber, a former member of the State Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ), former president of Beth Hillel Synagogue and of Federation Homes, former chair of the Jewish Federation Association of CT (JFact), the CT Valley Region of Conservative Judaism, and the Jewish Community Relations Council of the Greater Hartford Jewish Federation (JCRC). He is also a Life Board Member of the Mandell Jewish Community Center. As State Representative, David chaired the General Law Committee which was responsible for consumer protection laws. Attorney Baram was designated a Super Lawyer by his peers for 2019-2020 and serves as counsel to the Connecticut Package Store Association. David is married to Paula Wagner Baram, and their two sons Daniel, and Matthew and his wife Alayna, live in the Los Angeles area. |
