We are seeking interested students, chamber of commerce members or their recommendations, town cheerleaders and other individuals involved in the transit industry to join us as Hartford Line Ambassadors—an exciting opportunity to participate during the launch of this momentous achievement for the State of Connecticut. We are especially seeking assistance on opening weekend, Saturday-June 16th and Sunday-June 17th. What is a Hartford Line Ambassador? To ensure a seamless launch for all, it’s important to make new riders comfortable with the service. The intent of the Hartford Line Ambassador Program is to provide riders with a personable, friendly individual to help with questions about the service, the schedule, rail and bus connections, purchasing tickets, and more. We are seeking volunteers to serve as Hartford Line Ambassadors to be available at stations along the service route—at the ready to answer questions and help riders learn about and adapt to the new transit option during its first 9 days of service. Ambassadors will receive all necessary training, provided during regular business hours. You may select the Wed or Thursday by marking a training date when you register. · Wed. Ambassadors will be placed at all stations along the line. Ambassadors should choose stations that are closest to their home. Registration allows you to choose the time and day that you are available. This is a volunteering opportunity. Ambassadors will not receive compensation for their time. Great!
