Looking for Quick and Easy Strategies to Manage Stress? Health problems, work and financial insecurity, work/life balance, raising children, caring for others, and self-care: stress is here to stay. Doctors report that stress contributes to 80% of major illnesses. Financial studies indicate that stress costs businesses as much as $300 billion a year. What is it costing you? This group was created to help reduce stress to all in the greater Windsor community. We are here to support each other and offer help by sharing tips, strategies, and ourselves. This is a non-judgmental, supportive, peer-run supportive community where you should feel comfortable asking questions, sharing your wins and your frustrations. Come and ask your questions, share your challenges and goals and get accountability from your peers. We’re all feeling overwhelmed at times and can appreciate the similarities in each other’s stories. This is a safe and confidential place to ask, to vent and to ask for support. Validating how someone feels is the best way to help them. This is a place for you to share openly and realize you’re not alone. There's no need to give advice if it wasn't asked for. This group meets in-person on a regular basis to discuss four proven strategies to change your brain and your life. Based on the book, OASIS in the Overwhelm by author Millie Grenough, Clinical Instructor, Yale University School of Medicine. We'll discuss how this information will help; - You can learn life-changing strategies in one hour or less - Use the strategies immediately at work and home - They really do take only 60 seconds each - Make a positive difference in your life & business - People around you will be glad you are using them These strategies have helped people from all walks of life find balance and enjoyment. This discussion group is open for all in our community, and anyone looking for help in challenging situations. We have a few books available to borrow for group members at our live meetings. For more information about the book, http://bit.ly/2AKxyLC Our meetings are held the 2nd and 4th Tuesday each month, at The First Church in Windsor meeting house, Please use the door on the far side of the meeting house near to the river, opposite the parking lot. (if you're in front of the church, the door is on the left side, towards the back.) Welcome! Join our private Facebook group, https://www.facebook.com/groups/Oasisintheoverwhelm |
