The first topic will be “Privilege.” The conversation will occur Sunday, October 11, from 2 – 4 p.m. on Zoom. Different stories and diverse circumstances provoking similar conversations about race on a local, national, and international level will be presented. These themes underscore the reality that America’s deepest wound is far from healed. The Human Relations Commission chairman Hon. Kevin Washington stated the series will discuss: ? what the Town Council’s Declaration of Racism as a Public Health Crisis accomplishes ? how to be an ally ? what Black Lives Matter is about ? how to encourage youth participation The series will focus on diversity, division, disparity, and efforts to bridge and heal these issues.
