Annie’s World. Saturday, October 24, 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Families are invited to drop in and join in with demonstrations and activities that young Annie Howard (of Annie’s Home) might have done as a young woman growing up in early-19th-century Windsor. Free admission.

Set in 1810 Windsor, this beautifully illustrated story introduces children to the life of Annie Howard as she navigates the complexities of assimilating into a new family – a family that actually lived in the Society’s historic Strong-Howard House on Palisado Green! History lovers will want to take home signed copies of this fabulous new book for the whole family!

Face masks are required, and guests are asked to maintain social distancing to ensure a safe and healthy event. For more information visit www.windsorhistoricalsociety.org or call 860-688-3813.

The Windsor Historical Society, founded in 1921, invites visitors to explore the people, places, and events that have shaped Windsor for over four centuries. The Society’s museum and research library is located at 96 Palisado Avenue (Route 159) and is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Wednesday through Saturday. Admission is free this fall, 2020.
