Boys and girls ages 7 to 15 are invited to participate in the Shad Derby Hot Shot Contest today at the Community Center at 330 Windsor Avenue. Hot Shot is a basketball skills competition that involves shooting baskets from five “hot spots” marked on one half of the basketball court. There are two age categories for boys as well as girls: 7 to 12 years (6:30 PM to 7:30 PM), 12 to 15 (7:30 PM to 8:30 PM) Winners will receive a trophy and prizes. Free. 860-285-1990 to register.
