The Archer Memorial A.M.E. Zion Church is sponsoring its' annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration for the community on Monday, January 16, 2017 from 2:00p.m. to 3:30pm at the Windsor Town Hall Council Chambers, 275 Broad Street in Windsor, CT. The keynote speaker will be Mr. Uyi Osunde, Principal of Windsor High School. The program will also include special tributes to Dr. King with musical selections, performances, and words of reflection.  Out of Your Hands: Your Teen’s Digital Footprint
Out of Your Hands: Your Teen’s Digital Footprint is intended for youth ages 10-18 years old at 330 Windsor Avenue Community Center from 6:00-7:30pm. This class will cover issues surrounding your child’s “digital footprint”. Topics will include posting on social media, sending e-mails, texting, online shopping, passwords, photo sharing, and related issues. - The Windsor Art Center is excited to be hosting a photography show entitled The Human Condition: New York City Humanity, on Saturday, January 14, 2017. The two Photographers featured in this exhibition are William Butcher and Jacob Murphy. Both artists live and work in New York City and, combined, their work boldly illustrates the contrasts and perspectives of our humanity and individuality.

Weekend Cross-country Ski and Snowshoe Rentals
Weekend Cross-country Ski and Snowshoe Rentals at Windsor’s Northwest Park

Beginning January on Saturday and Sunday you can rent equipment to cross-country ski or snowshoe at Northwest Park through snow-laden forests and fields. Rentals are available from the Warming Shed on weekends only, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Children and adult sizes are available. Snow conditions permitting. A 6” base is required. The rental fee is $10.00 for Windsor resident and $15.00 for non-resident. Call for conditions 860-285-1886.
