Please join us on Friday, June 28, 2019 at Windsor Historical Society at 6 p.m. for a historic libations program focused on mid-twentieth century tiki drinks and culture. Americans first became interested in the exotic locales of the South Pacific in the nineteenth century. The first tiki bars were established in California during the Great Depression, providing an escapist fantasy of a tropical paradise. Interest in tiki drinks such as the Mai Tai, the Royal Hawaiian and the Singapore Sling grew as World War II forces returned from the South Pacific after the war, and Hawaii became a state i

The First Town Downtown Farmers’ Market will run from June 27 - October 17, 2019 on Thursdays from 3:00 to 6:00 pm (new time) at 240 Broad Street in Windsor Center. This well-attended local marketplace in Windsor Center includes locally grown fruits, vegetables, baked goods, herbs, eggs, cheese, skincare products, candles and more.

Christopher Martin Art Show
Chris Martin, a member of the Windsor Palette and Brush Club will be exhibiting his artwork in his own show at the Windsor Public Library. The exhibition will be held in the meeting room from July 6th to July 30th. There will be an opening reception Saturday July 6th from 10:30 am -12:00 pm which is open to the public. Please, make sure to visit and congratulate the budding artist. Congratulations Chris!!!

Please join us each month for coffee and conversation to promote information sharing, camaraderie, and education as to benefits and entitlements Veterans may be eligible for.

The Coffee Hour will be led by Wayne I. Rioux, Veterans Liaison for Hartford Health Care at Home. Wayne is an Army Vietnam Era Veteran and a retired Connecticut State Police Lieutenant. Wayne brings 6 years of experience in sharing information and assisting Veterans with benefits, entitlements, including financial assistance.

How does this thing work? Let our Geeks show you how! Bring Your Gadgets to the Geeks at the Windsor Public Library every Wednesday evening. We will take questions on devices and gadgets of all sizes and functions. No appointment necessary, the Geeks will be available on the Mezzanine from 7 PM to 8:30 PM weekly, and their advice is free. 860-285-1918.

First Town Downtown invites you to the summer concert series sponsored by Windsor Businesses. Concerts are on Thursday evenings from 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm on the Windsor Town Green and are free to the public.
