Gingerbread  Cookie Decorating
On Saturday, December 1, 2018 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., ring in the holiday season with a special gingerbread cookie decorating workshop at Windsor Historical Society. Board member Diane Varholak will supply delicious home-made gingerbread cookies, frostings, and all manner of edible decorations, and artistic guidance. Prepare to let your creativity run wild. You are welcome to bring a favorite holiday recipe to share and/or some notes about your own family holiday traditions; we’ll make photocopies for all. Festival of Wreaths
Please join us for our 1st Annual Festival of Wreaths on November 29 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Kimberly Hall North has provided wreaths to various businesses & our community for decorating. On the evening of the event there will be appetizers, cocktails, music as well as a Silent Auction. All proceeds will go to The Alzheimer’s Association.

Toys For Tots Drive
Express Employment of Windsor, CT has partnered with our local Toys For Tots and is accepting donations of new, unwrapped toys now through December 15th.

You can bring your donation by our office any time between 9:00am and 5:00pm, Monday-Friday. If you are interested in helping local children in need have a wonderful Christmas then don't hesitate to stop by our office at 340 Broad Street, Suite 208, Windsor, CT.

Every person who donates a toy before December 15th will be given an entry into our raffle for a $25 gift card to Amazon.com. Drawing will be December 16th, one entry per person.

Windsor C.A.R.E.S. SOCKTOBER- The summer has ended and the winter months will be upon us before we know it. The winter months are extremely difficult for those who are homeless and need to stay warm. C.A.R.E.S. will be collecting NEW winter socks throughout the month of October to be distributed this holiday season to those in need.

NEW socks can be dropped off at the Social Services office at the LP Wilson Community Center.

Please stop by for a wonderful Arts and Craft event hosted by Voices Against Lyme Disease CT, a 501c3 nonprofit based in Windsor, CT. This is a great way to get all your holiday shopping done in one place!

Available for purchase are all handmade items such as wreaths, cards, quilts, pottery, jewelry and many other unique gifts to pick from. There will be a tea cup auction with proceeds going to our non profit to be used for awareness and prevention programs regarding Lyme Disease and other tick borne illnesses.
