What is the WLA?
In some respects, the WLA is like a friends’ group with a few differences. The formation of the WLA began when a group of citizens met in 1888 to create a library. Its humble origins began with a subscription list of over 120 people, each of whom donated a minimum of one dollar. With $210 dollars in its treasury and 597 books in 1889, the WLA was off to a good start. In the early 1900s the

WIN-TV KIDVID Summer Video Production Workshops registration is now open. There are 5 sessions beginning June 20 and running through August 5. Workshops are Monday to Friday 9am to 3pm at the WIN-TV Studio located at the LP Wilson Community Center. $125 per child

The Windsor Art Center is pleased to announce its upcoming exhibition entitled Art from Across The Tracks: A Celebration of our “Studios” which will run January 15 through March 5, 2022. This exhibition includes works by resident studio artists at Windsor Train Station:

Andres Chaparro- paintings inspired by jazz
LeaAnn Cogswell- representational sculpture of human and animal forms
Cathy Doocy- explorations of composition and color using the vernacular of landscape painting

Windsor Food & Fuel Bank Elects New President and Officers
Joanna Gould, the Deposit & Electronic Services Support Officer at Windsor Federal Savings, was recently elected as the president of the Windsor Food & Fuel Bank. She replaces former president Ernest Perreault who retired after serving in that position since 2016. At its January meeting, the Board of Directors of the Windsor Food & Fuel Bank also elected the 2022 officers who all are Windsor residents. They are: President Joanna Gould; 1st Vice President Denise Novak; 2nd Vice President Laura Soll-Broxterman; Treasurer Nike Agman; and Secretary Marlene Towers.
