Join the Main Library and author, reiki master, aura consultant, and thanatologist Sydney Sherman for “You Are Not Alone: Our Loved Ones are here…you’re just not listening” on Monday, January 31 from 7:00 to 8:30 PM. Sydney will draw distinctions between fanciful myths and truly paranormal events and offers hints to avoid falling prey to the frauds of the field. Sydney Sherman encourages and instructs us on the possibilities of connecting with our own loved ones. Valentines for Veterans
Drop off your homemade Valentine’s for Veterans no later than 5:00 PM on Friday, January 28th and we’ll make sure the cards get distributed to local Veterans’ organizations for Valentine’s Day. This activity can be a teachable moment for youth to learn who veterans are and why they are so important to our community. Cards must be dropped off at L.P. Wilson Community Center by 5:00 PM. 860-285-1946.

The Windsor Art Center is pleased to announce its upcoming exhibition entitled Art from Across The Tracks: A Celebration of our “Studios” which will run January 15 through March 5, 2022. This exhibition includes works by resident studio artists at Windsor Train Station:

Andres Chaparro- paintings inspired by jazz
LeaAnn Cogswell- representational sculpture of human and animal forms
Cathy Doocy- explorations of composition and color using the vernacular of landscape painting

Beat the winter doldrums! You don't need an expensive grow light system or outdoor greenhouse to get a jump spring/summer plants!

On Saturday, January 29 from 3:00 - 4:00 pm, local resident gardener and chairperson of the First Town Downtown Windsor Monarch Project, Suzanne Urban, will show you how to make your own mini-greenhouse and share her own tips on successful winter sowing.

The cost is $20 per person.
Add $10 per additional family member.
Seeds, organic soil and supplies will be provided.

Voices Against Lyme Disease a 501(c)3, based in Windsor, CT is continuing their Support Group for those with a tickborne illness or a family member and friends. This group meets on the first and third Saturday of every month and is free to anyone wishing to join us. We use strict COVID 19 guidelines for our meetings. In addition, to support discussions we also provide up to date research information on tick borne illnesses, awareness and prevention.
