Juneteenth Celebrations
Celebrate Freedom Day! Juneteenth celebrations will begin on Saturday, June 19 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Wilson Branch Library . (For details go to www.windsorlibrary.com/juneteenth)

From 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. there will be a Community Picnic on the Windsor Town Green . Dance and listen to storytelling, drums, and guest speakers. Bring a picnic basket or buy a snack, drink, or ice cream from a vendor.

On Sunday, June 20 from 6 to 8 p.m. participate in a Conversation on Race entitled "What Is Juneteenth?" Use the website link to register for the Conversation on Race, which will occ

We wanted to take a moment to share with you an amazing opportunity with a local partner of ours- Newgate Farms in Windsor. Newgate offers a CSA program with pick ups beginning on June 22, 2021. Pick ups are available at the farm, or in our Bear's locations in Hartford, Windsor, or South Windsor!

In addition to picking up your fresh goodies from the farm, we have created a "Bear's/Newgate Club" and any guest who is picking up a CSA order from any of the locations is eligible for a 10% discount on the pickup day in any of the Bear's locations!

2 New Exhibits at Win Hist Soc!
Join Windsor Historical Society from 6:30 – 8:30 on Wednesday, June 23, to celebrate the reopening of the historic Chaffee House and museum with a new focus during this special exhibit opening, annual meeting, and program. Closed for the past year, this reopening will enable the Society to begin piloting new exhibit concepts with a focus on illuminating the Black experience in Windsor and the surrounding area. Starting on June 23, two exhibits will tell distinct but connected stories of arrival, identity, relationships, and survival.

Have an art project you need materials and/or advice for? Stop into the studio classroom at the Windsor Art Center Train Station Studios during open hours to use the space and materials for your personal project, and receive guidance from local artist Michelle Hawran (if you wish!)

You MUST sign up at least a day in advance to ensure no more than 4 students will be in the classroom at one time. Each student will have their own table and sanitized materials, and masks are required. If you are feeling sick, please to do not attend.

Voices Against Lyme Disease a 501(c)3, based in Windsor, CT is continuing their Support Group for those with a tickborne illness or a family member and friends. This group meets on the first and third Saturday of every month and is free to anyone wishing to join us. We use strict COVID 19 guidelines for our meetings. In addition, to support discussions we also provide up to date research information on tick borne illnesses, awareness and prevention.
