Meet the Candidates Night
The Windsor/North Central CT League of Women Voters and the Windsor Chamber of Commerce are hosting the annual Meet the Candidates event on Thursday October 15, at 6:00pm. The debate will be held as a virtual event this year. Participating are Senate Candidates for the 2nd and 7th Districts, and House Candidates for the 5th,15th, 60th and 61st Districts. The League and the Chamber are moderating this debate, which gives candidates the opportunity to respond to questions on current issues.

The Connecticut Freedom Trail is designed to recognize the importance of sites throughout the State that are associated with the heritage and movement towards freedom of African Americans. The mission of the Windsor Freedom Trail is to 1) raise awareness of the Windsor Freedom Trail and share the rich history of the Freedom Trail sites; and 2) provide Windsor residents and the greater community with educational programs and events to celebrate African American achievement, history, and heritage. The First Town Downtown Farmers’ Market for 2020 runs from July 2 through October 15 on Thursdays from 3:30 - 6:30 pm at 240 Broad Street in Windsor Center. This well-attended local marketplace in Windsor Center includes locally grown fruits, vegetables, baked goods, herbs, eggs, cheese, skincare products, candles and more.

We are very excited to be moving forward with the Farmers' Market with new guidelines to keep everyone safe. Masks are required.
