Book Signing with the Artist: Saturday, May 13 @ 1:30 p.m. Mr. Ferraina will sign and discuss his book, Color Your Own Creation.

Join us in celebrating an exhibit by one of our community’s leading promoters of art. Dan J. Ferraina, resident of Windsor for 71 years and long-time real estate developer, will show for the first time, his creations, some dating back to the 1960s, all made from a continuous piece of cardboard. His work will inspire the young to the old. Imagine: life as 3-dimensions exhibit runs from May 6 – June 10, 2017.

Sheila Schmidt Family Fishing Contest
The always popular family fishing night out will take place on Friday May 12th, 2016 at Washington Park from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The Windsor Jaycees are stocking the pond with trout and are inviting families to come fish, have some dinner and enjoy springtime in Windsor.

This event is named after Windsor's first Special Education teacher and lifelong advocate of children. The Jaycees will supply the fishing poles, bait, and dinner (for people).

Shad Derby Basketball Skills Challenge
This Shad Derby event is sponsored by the Town of Windsor Recreation Department and is for kids of all ages !!!

The basketball shooting challenge will take place Thursday, May 11th, 2017 at the Windsor Community Center (330 Windsor Ave.) The time for the tournament is from 6:00-9pm.

?This 2017 Shad Derby Event is FREE for kids.

Trophies will be handed out for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place

This youth fishing derby is open to children ages 1-12. It will take place on Saturday, May 13, 2017 from 8-10am at Washington Park in Windsor Center.

Shad Derby Golf Tournament
The 2017 Shad Derby Golf Tournament is presented by the Windsor Kiwanis Club. This is the 12th year organizing this popular golf fundraiser, but our 6th year in association with Windsor's Shad Derby Festival - Windsor's Most Beloved Festival. Proceeds from this annual golf tournament will support the Kiwanis Club of Windsor's continuous efforts to strengthen the Windsor community through service projects.

Lincoln Center Screening - Afropunk
The Windsor Public Library will be screening performances from Lincoln Center this spring. This month our screening will be Afropunk. Described by the New York Times as “the most multicultural festival in the U.S.,” the word “AFROPUNK” has become synonymous with “open-minded,” “non-conforming,” and “unconventional,” placing the institution at the epicenter of urban culture inspired by alternative music. These screenings will be the Third Tuesday of the month. The show runs from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM. Free. 860-285-1918.

St. Gabriel School is now enrolling students for Pre-K 3&4 - Grade 8 for the 2017 / 2018 academic school year. Applications are being processed and student screenings are getting scheduled. We are holding Open Door Tours on Tuesdays, 9am-1pm or 3pm - 6pm, with no appointment necessary (whenever school is in session).
