WIN-TV's 35th Anniversary Chef Renee Cooking Demo
Chef Reneé holds a degree in Culinary Arts from Johnson & Wales University and enjoys sharing her fresh approach to cooking with healthy ingredients and humor!

Her show, Simply Chef Renee, is in its 5th season at WIN-TV. Chef Renee is helping WIN-TV celebrate 35 years of community media with this special demo.

In this class you will observe the Chef as she demonstrates step-by-step how to prepare a fabulous dish using healthy ingredients. Once the dish is finished you get to sit down and enjoy the creation and socialize.

This After-School Art Program is specifically for children ages 7 & up for some hands-on, interactive art making. Each student will be guided through a variety of art projects. Taught by the talented, Michelle Hawran, B.F.A.

Classes held each week: on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays of each week.

Classes Begin: Thursday, March 2
Ages: 7 and up
Cost: $30 for each day; per child

Lincoln Center - First Look Some Lovers
The Windsor Public Library will be screening performances from Lincoln Center this spring. This month our screening will be First Look Some Lovers. Some of Broadway’s top talent including Will Swenson, Jessica Phillips, Jenni Barber, and Andrew Mueller perform songs from Some Lovers, the new musical from legendary songwriter Burt Bacharach and Tony Award–winning playwright Steven Sater (Spring Awakening).These screenings will be the Third Tuesday of the month. Windsor Housing Authority Offers Elderly Renter's Rebate
Applications for Elderly Renter’s Rebate will begin on April 15, 2017 in the Windsor Housing Authority office and will be accepted until September 30, 2017. To be eligible for this program, an applicant must be at least 65 years of age or Totally Disabled and have an adjusted gross income of not more than $42,900.

Shad Derby Golf Tournament
The 2017 Shad Derby Golf Tournament is presented by the Windsor Kiwanis Club. This is the 12th year organizing this popular golf fundraiser, but our 6th year in association with Windsor's Shad Derby Festival - Windsor's Most Beloved Festival. Proceeds from this annual golf tournament will support the Kiwanis Club of Windsor's continuous efforts to strengthen the Windsor community through service projects.

Whose Egg Is It? Egg Hunt


Join the Northwest Park staff on April 15 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM for a Whose Egg Is It? Egg Hunt. Take a short hike and search for brightly colored eggs filled with treats as well as decorated and camouflaged eggs that resemble wild bird eggs which are all carefully hidden along the trails. With the help of our egg chart, identify the bird eggs you find and place them in the appropriate nest (artificial). Learn about the birds that are returning to Connecticut after a cold winter. $3.00 per person (Windsor resident) $5.00 per

Shad Derby Wine & Beer Tasting
This 5th annual Shad Derby event is sponsored by the Windsor Woman's Club. It will take place on Saturday April 22, 2017 from 6:30-9pm at The Saint Gabriel Church Hall, 379 Broad St., Windsor , CT 06095. The cost is $30 per person.

Attendees must be over 21 years old or older. You will be able to sample local beer and wine. Appetizers will be served by Windsor's own Dom's Broad St. Eatery !! There will also be a silent auction.

Proceeds to benefit Windsor Woman's Club Scholarships.

Kimberly Hall offers an Alzheimer's Support group for family members who are a caregiver or have a loved one with a form of dementia. The support group consists of both families caring for someone at home or who have someone in a community. Please feel free to join us to learn more about the disease and how to cope with changes that occur as the disease progresses.
