Join the Northwest Park staff on Saturday, June 17th from 8:00 – 10:00 PM for a summer kick-off “Movie Night under the Stars” showing "Epic" (PG). This film tells the story of an ongoing battle deep in the forest between the forces of good and the forces of evil. When a teenage girl finds herself magically transported into this secret universe. Railroad Bridge 150th Anniversary!
Join us on Wednesday June 21, 2017 at 7 PM to 8PM for an in-depth look at Windsor’s iconic railroad bridge over the Farmington River, erected in 1867. Built on the heels of a tragedy, this Roman-arched stone bridge has inspired photographers and artists, and carried trains across the Farmington River for 150 years. In 2005, in response to a community survey, Windsor Historical Society chose the bridge as inspiration for its logo. Express Employment Professionals is holding a pet food drive on June 16 from 9am to 4pm for Friends of Windsor Animal Care and Control at our location on 340 Broad St, Windsor, CT 06095. There will be food, raffles, prizes, special guests, and more! Bring down your (friendly) pets and we'll bring ours! Donations of pet food and supplies will be accepted all day. One donation grants your one entry into a raffle. Come support our local animal helpers and have a fun day with us!

Windsor Art Center is pleased to announce the Third Annual Members’ Exhibition 2017. The exhibition is open to all current members who may submit up to 2 pieces of art. Work must be hand delivered on Saturday, June 17, 10:00AM – 4:00PM.

A cash prize for “Best in Show” will be awarded at the opening along with an Honorable Mention and Young Participant Recognition. The juror of award is Amy Kurtz Lansing, curator of the Florence Griswold Museum in Old Lyme, CT.
The exhibition is on view from June 24 – July 29 and opens with a free reception on Saturday, June 24 from 5:00 -7:00 PM.

Please join Voices Against Lyme Disease CT for another event at Northwest Park on 6/17/2017 from 11:30 am - 4:00pm. This event is for families here in CT. We will be providing a free lunch as well as programs about awareness of ticks and prevention for parents. The event includes activities and crafts for kids regarding the environment. The CT Cat Connection will be Puttin' on the Dog for Cats on , 2017 at Northwest Park from 11:00 am - 3:30 pm. Sign up your dog to compete in the best dog costume, best dog trick and /or the one that most looks like its owner for only $5.00. Winner in each category will win $50 in prize money.
