Student Entrepeneur of the Year Award

Student Entrepeneur of the Year Award
Student Entrepeneur of the Year Award - Saedi Mclaughlin

This year the Student Entrepeneur of the Year Award is Saedi Mclaughlin

The Student Entrepreneur is chosen for showing:
- an entrepreneurial spirit
- outstanding achievement in business classes
- creativity when approaching a business project
- honesty and ethical standards
- B average for all four quarters in their business class
- Business Attitude & Effort
- Performance on Business Plan

During her tenure as a student at Windsor High School Saedi's clear understanding of abstract economic theories in Entrepreneurship class and her level of confidence and diligence that she exhibited were extraordinary. Her presentations in both classes were always well prepared and well researched. Her meticulous manner and efficiencies in problem solving and analyzing data, in Entrepreneurship class were outstanding.
It is no surprise that Saedi maintained an A average throughout the semester. Saedi maintained an A average in my classes while also being a student athlete. Saedi is passionate about cheerleading. Saedi cheered for the Warriors basketball and football teams as well as working at Toys R Us during the weekends and holidays. Not once did she use her busy schedule as an excuse for not completing class work at the highest quality. Saedi’s strong academic performance transcript are really self-explanatory, however, ability to manage her time wisely, seamlessly work cooperatively with her peers as well as independently, and remain focused on tasks until they are completed to the highest quality.
While most of her peers would only replicate what was listed on the rubric, Saedi usually approached solutions in innovative ways, and go beyond the criteria of the rubric. Saedi took pride in handing in quality work and her grade was a reflection of her skill set.
