This year, it's more important than ever to make sure we're all vaccinated against the seasonal flu when winter comes. The CDC recommends getting a flu vaccine by the end of October, though getting vaccinated later can still be beneficial and vaccinations are offered throughout the flu season. The Chamber has partnered with CVS and First Town Downtown to arrange flu clinics for your workplace. See the information below to learn more and sign up.
The CT Women's Business Development Council is now offering grants of up to $10,000 to qualified women-owned and/or minority-owned businesses in Connecticut. They're holding an online info session next Wednesday. See below for more information.
The Chamber has partnered with First Town Downtown and CVS Pharmacy to provide Windsor companies the chance to schedule flu clinics on-site for their employees. “It’s more important than ever to get a flu shot,” says First Town Downtown Director, Jane Garibay, “Employers need to do everything they can to help keep their staff healthy. Offering on-site flu shots is an easy way to do that.”
Did you know that over 500 acres of Windsor is water? The Source to Sea Cleanup is an annual trash cleanup of the Connecticut River and its tributaries, including the Farmington and all Windsor's streams and brooks.
