Do you have a recipe that you would like to share with others? Do you have recipes that are simple, quick, healthy and fool proof? The Windsor Department of Social Services in conjunction with the Windsor Family Resource Centers are collecting taste tempting recipes from community members and local businesses. These recipes will be compiled into a Smart Cookbook and distributed by the department. The cost of food continues to rise and families are faced with making different choices on their meal preparations. Nutritious meals can be easily made with a few ingredients. Meals need to stretch further than ever, but that does not mean that they need to lack taste or creativity. The Smart Cookbook will be a treasure to share with others and will assist families with money saving recipe ideas. If you have any recipes to share please submit them. Your name will be printed with each of the recipes that are entered into the Smart Cookbook. Each book will contain helpful cooking hints, Windsor tidbits and delicious local recipes. Your recipes should fit into the following categories: Soups and Salads Vegetables and side dishes Main meals Breads Desserts Submit recipes to: Windsor Social Services Attn: Deb Sheldon 599 Matianuck Ave. Windsor, CT 06095 or email them directly to: Sheldon@townofwindsorct.com |
