Meet Corinne Martindale. She is a 21 month old survivor, a triplet, who is in desperate need of nursing care in her home. There are nurses available, but she needs funding to receive the care. Her family's insurance does not cover nursing services, leaving Corinne without the medical care she requires. The only way Corinne can breathe is through an artificial airway called a tracheostomy tube. This tube must be cleaned and monitored 24 hours a day. Corinne has become aware of her tracheostomy tube and frequently attempts to remove it. If removed, and without immediate medical attention, it could be fatal. Having pediatric nursing in her home will help her family keep her alive. One year of specially trained, pediatric nursing care costs $104,000, for only eight hours a day. In order to raise funds, we're having a "Family Fun Day." Come out to meet Scot Haney of WFSB Channel 3 News, enjoy the music and fun activities for the kids. Proceeds from your day's fun will help save Corinne's life.
