Unique Opportunity for Windsor's home based businesses

A unique opportunity to meet some of Windsor's home based business owners and e-commerce owners was offered to Windsor residents on Wednesday June 6.

The Chamber of Commerce welcomed the public to join them for breakfast and to meet and learn about some of the diverse talents and interesting offerings presented by the more than fifteen exhibitors taking part in this presentation.

The businesses included artists, vitamin sales, business coaching, safety in the work place and life saving skills training, web design, and advertising and are all home based small businesses.

The presentation was a delightful opportunity to see some of the successes enjoyed by those willing to forgo the security of a 9-5 job.

John Waveris from Invisible Gold Web design was one of the presenters and said, "The best part of owning a home based business is that you are able to structure your life the way you want it. You are free to travel and move because you can take your work with you." He went on to say, "Another good thing is that you come to understand people on a deeper level. I have met people through my business dealings that will now be life long friends."

Mike Stone a small business coach from The Stone Group said consumers also benefit from using home based businesses and he said, "Working with these kinds of businesses you get much more one on one. I t is much more personal because the small business owner knows what it takes and knows that that you need to make a personal investment in your business relationships to make it all work."

"These business owners are passionate about what they do" said Jane Garibay, Executive Director of the Windsor Chamber of Commerce. "They bring energy and creativity to the business world!"
