| The shopping season is upon us! This is when our local shops, restaurants, and service businesses are really here for us. Sure, they can sell us unique gifts for the holidays, but they also give so much to the community. So many of our local business people support Windsor's civic organizations by volunteering their time and providing raffle and auction items to non-profit groups that support Windsor residents. If you go to any of the charity auctions and fundraising events in town throughout the year, you know how many local businesses support the community - and it's not easy for them to do in this economy. We need to support them right back. When you shop at a local business, you're supporting not only the business owner and staff, but your own community as well. It's a classic win-win. So, shopping... let's get creative! We have some fun gift shops in town with very unique items, not to be found elsewhere - artisans and craftspeople are making incredible artwork, jewelry, pottery and more for you to give your family and friends for the holidays. There are quite a few Windsor businesses that offer ecommerce, too! You can shop online AND avoid shipping charges. That's the best of both worlds!
