After snapping up your favorite silent auction items, sit, relax and participate in friendly competition in the live auction. According to Past President Paula M. Pierce of Hosting Connecticut LLC, "There's always a great selection of items up for bid; truly something for everyone." This year you might take home an Apple iPad, a flat screen monitor, classic children's books, a safari trip, an "Aresenic and Old Lace" themed dinner, a Blu-Ray player, a trip to the Top Side Inn, unique jewelry, dining gift certificates and much more! "We've got some fun activities planned for the auction this year." Activities include the always fun Heads and Tails game and Take-a-Chance Surprise Boxes. The surprise boxes are priced at $25 and include secret items valued between $25 and $50. A few will have extra special items valued up to $100. "Plan to bring your family, friends, neighbors, and business associates to share in the fun," says Bill Gombert Auction Committee Chair, "and support these essential non-profit organizations."
