Each year the Windsor Chamber of Commerce holds its Annual Dinner and Meeting in June during which the new Board is sworn in and several awards are given to businesses and individuals in recognition of their devotion to community service. This year the event will be held at the Windsor Marriott on June 24th at 6:00 pm. The Annual Dinner Committee makes sure it was a fun-filled, spirited event. This year's theme is "New York, New York" with the cocktail hour becoming Central Park where the Trey Wilson Trio and Normand LaFleur will be performing and you never know what else you might find. Once the doors open to the ballroom the crowd will be transported to famous Rainbow Room. After dinner, entertainment will be provided by Windsor's Got Talent winners, Feed the Animals, a unique musical comedy act. Thanks to Marty McMahon, Joan O'Neil and Kelly Koretz who assisted Jane Garibay, Executive Director, in planning this fun event. This year's honorees are Gary Dowgewicz and Brian Griffin for Citizens of the Year and Martin McMahon for the Hallas Award for his service to the Chamber. The Parker Award, for property beautification, is being given this year to Mohan Sachdev of the New England Veterinary Center and Cancer Care. Director of the Year is Ray Embury. Student Entrepreneur of the Year award id going to Jonathan Hurd. The two Businesses of the Year are Community Health Resources and Day Hill Kennels for their service on the board and consistent participation and financial support of so many Chamber events and programs. The new board, whose goal is to guide the Chamber in its mission and support Chamber members, will be sworn in. Outgoing directors include John Waiveris of Invisible Gold, LLC. and Frank Carmon of Carmon Community Funeral Homes. The delicious meal choices are Seared Ahi Tuna, Free Range Breast of Chicken, New York Strip Steak and a vegetarian option.
