Covid-19 Update: Small Business Grant Program
| Governor Lamont has announced the creation of a new program to support Connecticut's small businesses. The Connecticut CARES Small Business Grant Program has been funded to award grants of $5,000 to Connecticut businesses with fewer than 20 employees or a 2019 payroll expense of less than $1.5 million. The grants can be used for payroll, rent, utilities, inventory, purchase of machinery or equipment, or costs associated with compliance of the ongoing Reopen Connecticut Business Sector Rules. We are pleased to note that Governor Lamont announced the creation of the state grant program during a news conference at Lilly’s Soul Food, a Windsor business and Chamber member! We expect that applications for the grant will become available in early November (the 9th is target date).
