Staying Healthy While Socially Distant

Staying Healthy While Socially Distant
The acupuncturists at Many Rivers Community Acupuncture are encouraging everyone to stay healthy – both physically and emotionally - as the weather gets colder and moves us indoors.

Many people have concerns about increased depression, anxiety, and loneliness caused by the winter blues and exacerbated by the pandemic. It is important to seek out safe ways to connect with others, whether virtually or in-person.

Many Rivers is providing two-for-one acupuncture treatments throughout December as a way for people to get together in a safer indoor environment. At the Many Rivers clinic, patients are spaced well over six feet apart, masks are required at all times, and medical-grade HEPA filters completely refresh the air every ten minutes.
“You can get a healthy acupuncture treatment with a friend, in a warm indoor environment, while still maintaining social distance,” says Many Rivers acupuncturist Mary Cole, L.Ac.

Attending online support groups, joining a virtual volunteer program, and going for a brisk winter walk with friends while wearing masks are other great ways to stay connected and reduce isolation.

“We need each other now more than ever,” continues Cole. “Our hearts can connect even though we are six feet apart.”

The Many Rivers two-for-one special is available through December 30. New and returning patients can use this special to schedule two appointments together for the price of one. The total cost for two new patients is $30, for two returning patients is $20, and for one new and one returning patient is $25.
