Many Rivers will offer $15 acupuncture treatments for patients who bring a non-perishable food item during the week of the food drive. New patients who schedule their first treatment during this week will receive their initial consultation and treatment for only $15. “After eight years in Windsor, we moved to Bloomfield, where we acquired a fully-accessible, quiet clinic space with ample parking. Our Windsor and Bloomfield patients love our peaceful new space. We decided to honor our patients in both communities by holding the food drive for both food banks. Our patients are incredibly generous and we always look forward to seeing the huge bags of donations we collect each year,” says Many Rivers owner and acupuncturist Carrie Sawtell, L.Ac. “We are offering $15 treatments for patients during this food drive in order to encourage as many people as possible to come to our clinic to donate food,” adds Many Rivers acupuncturist, Heather Finn, L.Ac. “We can all work together to keep our community strong and healthy.” The Bloomfield and Windsor Food Banks are especially in need of peanut butter and jelly, spaghetti sauce and pasta, and macaroni and cheese. Canned meats (tuna and chicken), baked beans, canned fruit, and cereal are also greatly appreciated. Many Rivers is part of the community acupuncture movement, which is working to make health care affordable and accessible. Acupuncture treatments are provided on a sliding scale, from $20 - $40 per treatment (plus a one-time new patient fee of $10). Their highly-trained acupuncturists treat a multitude of health problems, including pain, arthritis, anxiety, insomnia, depression, digestive disorders, seasonal allergies and gynecological complaints. Many Rivers is open Monday through Friday, with evening appointments available until 7:00 pm Monday through Thursday. The clinic is located at 3 Barnard Lane, Suite 205, in Bloomfield.
