Bell School

Bell School
The 5th District Schoolhouse was built in 1871 and used for educational purposes until 1935. The design is Italianate, which reflected the wealth of the Palisado Avenue families. The school was named after the bell in its tower, donated by William S. Pierson, a civil war soldier, who lived in town.
