Education and Workforce
Mission Statement: To provide connect business community to local education institutions to promote students' career awareness and to create a future highly skilled workforce. Chamber members will provide direct exposure to community businesses which will help students develop the technical and personal skills needed to achieve their career goals. Activities supported by the committee: 1. New Teacher Reception 2. Summer High School Internship 3. School Business Partnership 4. REAL - Relevant Education & Learning (a business shadowing program for teachers) --Bank in the High School Past Activities: --Project Mentoring --Mini Grant Program for WHS Teachers --Schooling for Community Success --New Computers --Robotics Competition -- Read on the Green Grass --Career Day --Business Tours --Businesses Fueling Minds Through Books --Back Packs for Middle School Kids |
