Willard "Bill" Gombert 1986-1988
A 1956 graduate of Hiram College in Hiram, OH, Bill holds a B.A. in business administration and economics. After serving in the U.S. Army, Bill began his career in 1958 as a sales representative at A-M International and advanced to vice president of marketing by 1981. From 1981-2001 Bill held various executive positions at Konica Business Technologies, Inc. Some of Bill's numerous volunteer affiliations include chairman of the Windsor Employers Association, past president of the Windsor Chamber of Commerce, member of the transportation committee of the Greater Hartford Chamber of Commerce and past president of the A-M Employees Club. Bill has chaired the Chamber's annual benefit auction for the past 27 years and was the 1988 recipient of the Jerry Hallas Memorial Award. Bill and his wife Vivian reside in Simsbury.
