| | | Event Update: Due to growing concern for the public health and safety of holding this event in person, we have decided to transition it to an online format.
Join Windsor Historical Society online from 5:30-6:00 p.m. on Friday, December 11th, for an educational and entertaining examination of drinking culture in Windsor around the onset of prohibition. In preparation for its 100th Anniversary next year, the society is highlighting life in 1921 Windsor with Getting Tight in the Teens and Twenties. In this online event Society Education and Outreach Manager John Mooney will present the history of and provide instructions for making four cocktails popular during the 1910s and 1920s in America: The Martinez, The Aviation, The Old Fashioned, and The Fizz. He will also briefly discuss how drinking culture shifted with the advent of prohibition. After the presentation there will be time for a question and answer period. We hope you’ll join us for this interactive online event!
This event is FREE and will be held over Zoom. You must preregister in order to attend the event. Please register at https://windsorhistoricalsociety.z2systems.com/.../event...
