On Saturday, October 14, 2017 from 11 AM to 4 PM, grab friends and family and head to Windsor Historical Society for our first-ever Great Windsor History Hunt! Pick up your book of clues at the Society, your passport to discovering a fascinating array of historic sites in Connecticut’s oldest town and a little history along the way. Then head out in your car to start looking. Once you have found each site, snap a picture of your group onsite with your cell phone. When finished, return to the Society to have photos checked. If you found all the sites, you’ll be placed in a drawing for some

Join us at Windsor Historical Society on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 starting at 5 p.m. as we explore how a visit to the doctor evolved from the end of the 18th century through today. Dr. Hezekiah Chaffee practiced medicine from the 1760’s through the early 19th century on Palisado Green; his house is maintained by Windsor Historical Society as a museum. Tour Windsor’s Dr. Hezekiah Chaffee’s house and doctor’s office at 5, then hear retired Windsor physician Dr. William Harris, and Dr. Melissa Grafe, Head of the Medical History Library at Yale University speak about the state of medical train

This workshop works well for the oil painter as well as the watercolorist, and students will experience Robert’s relaxed teaching approach, which has been enjoyed by many students and professional artists through the years. Robert has an incredible ability to spontaneously see the big picture and transfer it onto paper by assessing different values and colors to create a painting.
