Celebrate Trains!
Get Baked, The Windsor Art Center, and other local businesses will be celebrating Free Rail Days on June 16 and 17 . Ride the train for free. Maybe a ride to Hartford, a ride on the carousel and back to Windsor for a cup of coffee and cookie decorating!

---At Get Baked children 18 and under can celebrate by decorating their very own train cookie. Adults can also decorate a cookie with any purchase. Donations accepted to benefit Toivo. Get Baked will be open Saturday from 7:00 am - 8:00 pm and Sunday 7:00 am - 2:00 pm.

---Get Baked will also be hosting one of their awesome Pop Up Market

Historic Herb-infused Drinks!
Ah—those long summer evenings coming up: the perfect excuse for a drink! Please join us at Windsor Historical Society on Friday, June 15, 2018 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. for a fascinating sampling event. Herb –infused drinks with a little history thrown in by the Society’s Education and Outreach Coordinator John Mooney will be featured. You’ll get to sample shrubs (a refreshing non-alcoholic mixture of crushed fruits and vinegar traditionally used as a thirst-quencher), mint juleps (mint, sugar, bourbon with crushed ice), mojitos (rum with lime juice) basil-grapefruit mimosas (champagne and citru

Call for two actors!
The Windsor Art Center seeks two actors (male or female, any age range) to round out the cast of the Mythology Project, a devised short play inspired by Slavic mythology and folklore. Auditions will be held Saturday, June 16 , from 1-2PM at the Windsor Art Center Studios (train station building across the tracks from the Art Center. A modest stipend will be provided to all performers. This project is sponsored by a grant from the NewAlliance Foundation.

Rehearsals: June 16*, June 27-28, July 23-August 15
Performances: August 16-17-18 at 8PM

Making Things in Windsor
Join us on Wednesday June 20, 2018 from 7 PM to 8PM for a program focused on products made in Windsor. Popular lecturer Bob Bell, former president of the Valley Railroad Company that operates the Essex Steam Train and Riverboat, will give viewers insight on bricks, guns, and other factory-made products made right here in Windsor in a multi-media presentation. Discover where the factories were, what manufacturing processes were involved, and who worked in these industries. And get a sense of some the fascinating products being made in Windsor today. The program follows a short annual meeting.

Farmers’ Market
The First Town Downtown 2018 Farmers’ Market will begin its 10th season on Thursday, June 28 from 3:30 to 6:30 at 240 Broad Street in Windsor Center. The Farmers' Market will run every Thursday through October 18th. This well-attended local marketplace in Windsor Center includes locally grown fruits, vegetables, baked goods, herbs, eggs, cheese, skincare products, candles and more.
