The First Town Downtown 2017 Farmers’ Market is gearing up for its 9th season! This well-attended local marketplace in Windsor Center includes locally grown fruits, vegetables, baked goods, herbs, eggs, cheese, skincare products, candles and more.

The Farmers’ Market runs every Thursday June 29 - October 19 from 3:30-6:30pm and is located at 240 Broad Street in the center of Windsor.

Palisado Cemetery Tour & WWI
On Saturday, July 15, 2017 from 8:30 AM to 10 AM, join Society Executive Director Christine Ermenc at the entrance of Palisado Cemetery for a tour commemorating Windsor residents who served on World War I’s battlefields and assisted at the home front. Discover the stories of Windsor residents like Harold Loomer who etched the names of all of the bases where he served onto his mess kit. Nearby is the grave marker of Dorothy Clark Hayden who served as a Red Cross nurse, and that of George E. Crosby Jr., who was appointed Director of Liberty Bonds and Thrift Stamps in Windsor during the wartime

The public is invited to the historic Oliver Ellsworth Homestead the week of July 17 - 21 to view the archaeological investigation under the direction of Dr. Brian Jones, Connecticut State Archaeologist. Dr. Jones will use ground penetrating radar to search for additional buildings that may have existed on the Ellsworth property.

Voices Against Lyme Disease CT. a 501c3 based in Windsor, CT will be having a tag sale on the Windsor Town Green on Saturday, July 15, 2017 from 9:00am-3:00pm. All proceeds will go to the organization to help pay for supplies, presentations and material used for free programs the organization provides across the state of CT. These educational programs for organizations, schools and businesses along with booths at wellness fairs etc. bring awareness and prevention recommendations about Lyme Disease and other tick borne illnesses.
