Web Developer Hosting Connecticut, LLC Turns 15

Web Developer Hosting Connecticut, LLC Turns 15
Hosting Connecticut, LLC, a Windsor, Connecticut-based web development and hosting company, celebrates its fifteenth anniversary in 2018. Founded and owned by Paula Pierce, Hosting Connecticut develops and hosts websites and offers website marketing strategy services to its clients, which are primarily local businesses and non-profit organizations.

Hosting Connecticut customizes its services to each client’s needs, whether it’s a new website or a redesign of an existing site that isn’t producing the desired results. Recognizing that a website is part of a total marketing strategy, Pierce works with clients to deliver other related services, such as search engine optimization and credit card processing.

"When I started the company in 2003," said Pierce, "not many businesses had websites, so the goal was to register a domain name and get some kind of website up, just to be online. Since then, things have changed quite a bit. An effective online marketing plan, featuring social media, paid search and email marketing, is now essential for a successful web presence.”

Personalized service that gets results

Over its decade and a half in business, Hosting Connecticut has earned a reputation for attention to detail and responsive customer service, and local businesses praise the firm for helping them attract new clients.

D'Agata Granite and Bronze, a Windsor monument company, has seen a significant increase in new business since Hosting Connecticut redeveloped their website with an emphasis on search engine optimization. "I noticed a considerable increase in the amount of calls from my website. My name is coming up a lot more in the search engines," said owner John D'Agata.

Hosting Connecticut also looks for ways to help their clients reduce costs. "Our merchant account rates (both online and offline) are quite low. Some businesses don’t even know what they’re paying to accept credit cards until we look into it for them. We review their statements line by line to find out if our service will save them money,” says Pierce.

A strong community presence

Over the years, Hosting Connecticut and owner Pierce have been recognized in the region for supporting the business community. In 2008, Pierce was honored with the Small Business Association’s Home-Based Business Champion of the Year award for Connecticut and the New England Region. In the same year, Pierce was elected president of the Windsor Chamber of Commerce, where she has chaired several committees and continues to serve on the Board of Directors.

Through the years, Hosting Connecticut has worked with many non-profit organizations and, on occasion, offers deep discounts to local charities. The firm has sponsored numerous local fundraising events, including the Windsor Chamber's Windsor Feud and Windsor Education Foundation's Paws For a Cause.

Plans for 2018 and beyond

Hosting Connecticut is marking its fifteenth anniversary with a yearlong program of free tips and giveaways—scheduled on the fifteenth of each month, naturally. Meanwhile, Hosting Connecticut will continue to offer its winning combination of exemplary customer service and the best of new technology.

“We’re always researching new ways to provide better solutions," said Pierce. “Look for us to introduce several new services, such as enterprise email, social media management, WordPress hosting and more.”
